A dealer configurator is a quoting tool

For vehicles and boats, the configurator isn't where the sale ends. It's where the quote starts, so it has to work for dealers as well as buyers.

A dealer and a buyer shaking hands

Nobody adds a boat to a cart. Vehicles and boats are sold through dealers, by quote, often after several conversations. A configurator for these products has two audiences: the buyer exploring at home, and the dealer turning that build into an order.

Most configurators are built for the first one only.

For the buyer: build and price

The buyer changes colours, engines and accessories, and the price updates. Packages, like a towing or off-road kit, are rule-based bundles offered during configuration, and rules hide combinations that can't be built. Then they can see the build at full size in AR.

For the dealer: the same build, ready to quote

When the buyer is ready, the configurator captures their selections and contact details and routes the lead to the right sales or dealer team. The dealer opens a build that's already valid and already priced.

From there, a bill of materials is one click and a PDF quote is instant. The build can also go straight to your CRM by webhook.

One catalogue, many dealers

Dealers work from your original products and rules, not copies. Prices and options stay consistent across the network, and one order panel shows quotes, saved builds and order status for every dealer.

On the Enterprise plan, you can also set catalogues and pricing per dealer, give dealers their own portal with sign-in, and see analytics by dealer.

Where it stops

A configurator doesn't replace the dealer's conversation; financing, trade-ins and delivery still happen between people. What it removes is the part where someone retypes the build into a spreadsheet.
