Only show what you can build

A furniture configurator that lets buyers create something your factory can't make is worse than no configurator. Rules keep every build valid.

The fastest way to lose a buyer's trust is to sell them something you then can't make. A configurator that allows the leather seat with the fabric-only frame, or the oak top on the steel base that only comes in walnut, does exactly that, one order at a time.

Rules are how we stop it.

A rule is a condition and an action

In the Amaspace editor, a rule says: when this happens, do that. "If the buyer chooses the leather family, clear the fabric options." "If the table is longer than two metres, hide the slim legs." The buyer never sees a combination that breaks a rule. It simply isn't offered.

For a typical sofa with two material families, that's a handful of rules. For a full range, it's more, and duplicating an existing rule and editing it is the quick way to build the list.

Options that touch the same part

A common trap: two options, in two different attributes, that both change the same material. A fabric picker and a "premium finish" picker, say, both affecting the seat. Without care, the buyer can select both and the model shows whichever loaded last.

Amaspace treats options that change the same material as mutually exclusive, even when they sit under different attributes. Only one can be active, so the model always shows the build the buyer will get.

Safe to edit later

Ranges change. When you remove an option that a rule depends on, the editor warns you before it goes, so a tidy-up doesn't quietly break the logic behind your configurator.

Prices come with the rules

Every option on screen shows its price impact, and the total updates as the buyer builds. Combined with rules, that means the buyer sees only builds you can make, each with its real price.

Where it stops

Rules encode what you tell us. If your factory constraints live in someone's head, the first job is writing them down. We do that with your team during setup, and you approve the configurator before launch.
