Build it, see the price, buy it
Photos can't show every option, so shoppers email to ask. A configurator answers on the product page and sends the finished build straight to your cart.

Every store that sells configurable products gets the same email. "Does it come in walnut?" "What would the large one cost with the brass handles?" Each one is a sale waiting on a person to reply.
The product page should answer those questions on its own. That is the whole job of a configurator, and it comes down to three things.
1. Every option, in 3D
The shopper turns the product, zooms in and changes it. Walnut instead of oak, brass instead of black, three seats instead of two. The model updates as they click, so they're looking at the thing they're about to buy, not a photo of a different one.
Our Showcases page has 17 live demos, from chairs and sofas to boats, caps and watches. Open one and change a few options; that is what your shoppers would see.
2. The price as they go
Each option carries its own price impact. As the shopper builds, the total updates. No "request a quote" button, no surprise at checkout.
Rules sit behind the options, so combinations you can't make simply don't appear. A shopper never builds something you'd have to email them about.
3. Into your cart
When they're done, the build goes into your store's normal cart and checkout. We have apps and plugins for Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix, a design-code flow for Etsy, and an embed for custom sites.
The finished build arrives as one item at its full price, and the order comes back to you with every option the shopper chose.
Does 3D actually sell more?
We don't publish our own conversion numbers yet. Shopify has published theirs: "Merchants who add 3D content to their stores see a 94% conversion lift, on average" (Shopify, May 2022). It's an average across their merchants, not a promise for any one store. What a configurator does reliably is answer the shopper's questions on the page instead of in your inbox.
Where it stops
A configurator works for products with real options. If you sell one item in one finish, a good photo is enough. And a build reaches the cart as one item, not one line per part, which matters if your back office tracks parts separately.
