Amaspace or another configurator? Where we fit

We are not the right configurator for every store. Who we built Amaspace for, what it does well, and when another tool will serve you better.

People often ask us how Amaspace compares with other configurators. We would rather tell you where we fit and where we don't, so you can rule us in or out in a few minutes.

Who we built it for

Two kinds of businesses. Online stores on Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix or Etsy that sell products with many options: cabinets, furniture, gifts, jewelry, caps. And manufacturers who sell through dealers or by quote: furniture, boats, trailers.

Where we fit well

  • Many options, one price. Shoppers build the product in 3D and see the price change as they go. More in Show the price while they build.
  • Your cart, not ours. The finished build goes into your store's cart as one item at its full price. See Integrations.
  • AR without an app. It opens in Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android. Desktop visitors scan a QR code.
  • Whole layouts. A full kitchen can go into the cart as a single item. Here is how.
  • We build the models. From photos, specs or CAD, and you approve each one before launch.
  • A flat monthly price. Plans start at $23 a month with no fee per order. Details on Pricing.

Where another tool may suit you better

  • Printing text or a photo on a flat product. If that is all you need, a 2D personaliser is simpler, and you don't need 3D models at all.
  • One order line per part. A finished build reaches the cart as one item. If your fulfilment needs each component as its own line, talk to us before you start.
  • Turning photos into 3D on its own. AI Studio makes images and videos from a 3D model. It does not turn a photo into a 3D model yet; our team builds the models.
  • A price inside an Etsy configurator. Etsy does not allow it, so on Etsy the buyer sees the price in the listing.
  • A very large range on a small budget. Plans differ by how many products you can configure (5, 10, 40 or unlimited), and building many models is quoted per job.

How to decide

Use the questions in How to compare 3D product configurators with every vendor on your list, us included. Then try your hardest product. Stores can start with the live demos or a trial. Manufacturers usually start with a demo of their own range: book one here.
