Etsy keeps the price. We keep the design.

Etsy doesn't allow a price inside a configurator. Shoppers design in 3D, paste a design code into the personalization box and pay the listing price.

Etsy sellers who make personalized products know the routine. The buyer types a name, a font and a colour into the personalization box, gets one of them slightly wrong, and the next two days go to messages.

A configurator fixes most of that. On Etsy, it works a little differently from everywhere else, and the reason is a rule, not a technical limit.

Etsy's rule: the price stays on the listing

Etsy requires the price to live on the listing. A configurator can't show its own price or add a product to the Etsy cart. So we don't try.

Instead, the configurator handles the design and Etsy handles the sale, exactly as it does today.

How it works for the buyer

  1. They open the configurator from a link on your listing.
  2. They design the product in 3D: materials, colours, engraving, their own artwork. On a phone they can see it in AR, in the browser.
  3. When they're happy, they copy a short design code.
  4. They paste the code into the personalization box and check out on Etsy as usual, at the listing price.

What you get

The order lands in Amaspace with every option the buyer chose and a "Show in 3D" view. Colours, uploaded images, text and variants come through attached to the order. You make what they designed, without a message thread to piece it together.

Setting it up

You connect your Etsy shop in Amaspace, link a product to a listing, and keep one personalization field for the design code. The other personalization fields can go: the customization now happens in the configurator. We give you short buyer instructions to paste into the listing description.

Where it stops

Because Etsy keeps the price, the configurator can't price options differently. If a larger size or a premium material costs more, that difference has to live in your Etsy variants, the way it does now.

The design code also relies on the buyer pasting it. The instructions in your listing make that step clear, and the code is short on purpose.

Try it

Etsy sellers are on the same plans as everyone else, from $23 a month with no fee per order. Start a trial, connect your shop and link one listing to see the flow end to end. The Etsy integration page has the details.
